dotdotdash

A tri-annual creative journal featuring emerging writers and visual artists

dotdotdash was founded in 2009 by fine arts and creative writing students of Curtin University, Gok-Lim Finch, Anna Dunnill, Kiki Hunwick, Elizabeth Tan, Naama Amran, Rebecca Higgie, Nicole Hobby, Pat Johnson, and Alex Kannis, as well as many other volunteers over the years. I was managing editor for a majority of the ten issues, and learned so much about the brutality and joy of self-publishing a print literary journal. dotdotdash received funding from the Department of Culture and the Arts, Express Media, and Propel Youth Arts WA, but in reality a lot of the money and heart of the magazine came from volunteers. We ran ten issues over three years, publishing over 400 emerging artists and writers across Australia. The final issue was launched on Saturday December 14, 2013.
